About me
In the globalised world we are living in, almost everyone speaks or understands at least one language besides one's own, and basically, everyone can "translate". But the number of true professionals in the field is astoundingly low. Obviously, any translation should convey the same meaning as the original text. In addition to that, good translations should sound natural, having the, well - "fragrance", I would say - of an original.
That is where professional translators take on a vital role: by ensuring well-researched terminology, idiomatic and fluent style and correctness in contents, they deliver the best quality every customer needs - and has the right to expect.
Ever since I was admitted to the University of Trieste, and especially starting from my fourth year and after graduation, I have been working as an interpreter and translator for individuals, translation agencies and publishing companies. These years polished my skills, giving me the experience to tackle various subjects, from finance, to insurance and economics to engineering, although my favourites remain those related to IT and science, where I am able to combine the work with my interest for the subject.
In 2006 the quality of my work was acknowledged by AITI, the Italian Association of Translators and Interpreters, and in 2007 by BDÜ, its German counterpart. Thanks to the cooperation with many like-minded professionals, I have been able to broaden my experience in the field.
